Nightjar is my first solo album - made alongside the Sussex coast with help from Neill MacColl together with Ben Nicholls and David Tomlins, mostly recorded live in the studio - engineered, mixed and mastered by Dave Izumi.

A tangle of word and melody, old and new, Nightjar evokes journeys along ghostly paths, country lanes and starlit shorelines - alive with shimmering patterns of a flowing tide. Stories - of childhood, of loves and rivalries, fair maidens, cruel sisters and winged sorceress - are interwoven with glimpses of the natural world: honeysuckle, yellow poppies, briars and brambles, pausing in quiet murmurs under a snow moon, the pale moon, from my corner of the meadow.
